It’s that time of year! Today we’ve brought together all of our Superintendents from near and far for our annual superintendent meeting.

These meetings serve as an opportunity for everyone to gather together to listen to presentations that involve an in-depth look into WIMCO’s expectations, best practices, training, safety, and of course camaraderie.

Our superintendents live and breathe our projects day-in and day-out and we would not be successful without their driving force behind them! Thank you all for your hard work and all that you do.

To show appreciation for his TEAM of subcontractor

To show appreciation for his TEAM of subcontractors hard work and dedication WIMCO Superintendent, Dustin Bedwell, brought everyone together and grilled them an appreciation lunch on site.

Even a few members of the Town of Dyer Indiana Fire Department were able to attend. We have been working with the fire department and crews so they can preplan and train in the new storage facility. The goal of partnerships like these is to keep us all safe.

Dustin’s project is a multi-level 84,000SF self storage facility located in Dyer, Indiana. It will stand 2 stories tall and contain 794 storage units.

A lot of time, coordination and planning go in to these projects. To everyone involved - thank you for all that you do!!

Families, supporters and staff gathered to permanently leave their thoughts, prayers and support on the building before its closed in.

World Autism Awareness Day is an opportunity to highlight the need to help improve the quality of life of those with autism so they can lead full and meaningful lives as an integral part of society.

Grow Local is an initiative to introduce and inspire middle school and high school students to different careers and career pathways in our community.

Today, a local high school construction class toured the @acesforautismnc jobsite and were given an overview of the different types of careers in construction and get a live visual of topics they learn class.

@witnnews was following along the Grow Local week and interviewed WIMCO Project Manager, Paul Ellis.

This program is an excellent way for students to explore future job opportunities that may be of interest to them.

WIMCO is proud to announce one of our newest proje

WIMCO is proud to announce one of our newest projects, Drs. Davila & Velazquez, P.A. Their new dental office will be located at 1295 E Arlington Blvd. Greenville, NC, right down the street from their current location @doctorsdandv

Last week we officially kicked-off construction of this 10,800 SF dental office with a ground breaking ceremony to commemorate this momentous occasion.

This two story facility was designed by Greenville NC architect, @bw__architecture

It will feature a second story outdoor patio, pedestal roof deck, a drive through canopy and stone, glass and nichiha exterior.

Throughout the site, designed by @theeastgroup of Greenville, NC, will be custom colored walkways, rain and butterfly gardens, and even a bridge.

We are excited to see this project come to life!

Located on less than 3/4 of an acre, this 107,000 sqft climate-controlled storage facility stands 7 stories tall (basement plus 6).

Additional features include:
- 16,000 sqft of storefront facade
- 2 elevators
- 2 stair shafts
- Fire pump
- Solar panels covering the roof
- 24’x24’x7’ underground stormwater sand filtration system that houses 14,500 gallons of rainwater run-off from the roof and parking area.

This project included City of Durham right of way improvements with 10’ wide sidewalks lined with brick pavers, tree wells, benches and bike racks.

In honor of Valentine’s Day, WIMCO would like to thank Daughters for Dads for hosting another wonderful annual Daddy Daughter Dance fundraiser. Pictured are a few of our dads and their daughters who attended this great event!

Daughters for Dads (D4D) is a local non-profit organization inspired by a fathers never-ending love.

The mission of D4D is to help local friends and families who are fighting cancer. They help families ease some of the burden cancer brings, such as providing financial service assistance, treats for caregivers, meals and much more.

Our first project in the Lone Star State is a 111K SF climate-controlled self storage facility that will be located in Brownsville, Texas.
